Spring Update:
The Gerdemann Botanical Preserve is located in Yachats, Oregon on the central Oregon Coast. It is private property and home of the current owners.
1. The new Public Footpath is open all year during daylight hours. We caution hikers to take care in the wet creek areas, and bridge crossings. There isn't parking or a trailhead for the public footpath at GBP. Access by walking from #804 Trail.
2. The new Wheelchair Accessible Trail Loop is available by appointment only. This is NOT a public trail.
3. We offer by appointment only, guided tours of the entire preserve during the Blooming Season 2010, March through September on Thurs. Fri. Sat. and Sun. When planning to visit, please contact the owners: Jerry and Kathleen Sand 541-547-5143 or email: GBGarden@peak.org to arrange a tour and for specific directions. Most of the garden is steep with unimproved rustic trails. We encourage appropriate foot gear.
4. Parking is very limited. The Public Footpath is accessible by foot from the Yachats 804 Trail and nearby motels. For group tours, carpooling is strongly recommended. If you have questions or desire a tour, please contact us.
